Minh Bao Luong's Obituary
In loving memories of Mr. Minh Luong, 81, of Broken Arrow, passed away September 28, 2017 in St John Hospital, Tulsa OK, surrounded by his loving family.He was the husband of Tin Tu Trieu. They met in 1960 and were married in 1963. Born in Zhenjiang Province, China, he was a son of the late Xe Luong and Anh Tran. His Mother became a widow when he was nine. In that same year in 1945, his Mother immigrated with him and his brother Sanh Phat Luong to Vietnam, where he grew up and became an entrepreneur owning and operating restaurants and related businesses. He also served as a South Vietnamese Lieutenant supporting operations of the U.S. Military in Pleiku, central region of Vietnam from 1968 to 1972.After the Vietnam War ended in 1975, his family emigrated from Vietnam to America on October 18, 1982 and settled in Tulsa, OK, where he resumed his entrepreneurship in the restaurant business until his retirement in 2008.Surviving besides his wife are two sons and three daughters.Scott Luong husband of Thuong Lu, Broken Arrow OK; Cuong Luong husband of Chi Doan, Broken Arrow OK; Cindy Luong wife of John Vo, Savannah GA; Leslie Luong wife of William Tran, Broken Arrow OK; Connie Luong love of Charlie Lor, Tulsa OK; a brother Sanh Phat Luong, Broken Arrow; a sister Ngoc Lien Luong, Zhenjiang China; and ten grandchildren Timmy, Kenny, Tyler, Steven, Jay, Cody, Richard, Phillip, Ricky, Selena.Funeral Services will be 1:00PM on Tuesday Oct 3rd at Floral Haven, 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow. Officiating will be Buddish Monk Nho Lu. Burial will be in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing Saturday Sept 30th from 10AM to 8PM and Sunday Oct 1st from 10AM to 8PM at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Suites.Contributions may be made in his memory to temple Princeton Meditation Center Org, 9516 CR 867, Princeton, TX 75407
