Minnie Ojeda's Obituary
Be-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister, Mitzi Ojeda, 100, of Sand Springs Oklahoma, died peacefully at her home July 21, 2020 with her family at her side. She overcame every circumstance she had confronted in her lifetime except the passing of her beloved husband of 65 years. She was under Hospice care at the time of her passing. She was born 11-11-1919 in Salem New Jersey and resided in Sand Springs for the past 6 1/2 years, having moved from Sun City West Arizona to be closer to family. Mitzi may have been petite and short in stature, but she will be remembered for her strength of will, character, and dedication to her family.
Mitzi enjoyed sailing with her family when her children were young and traveled the US full time in their RV in her later years. She was an excellent ball room dancer and cherished every minute on the dance floor performing and instructing with her husband Fred. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred just 7 months ago. She is survived by her son Rikki Ojeda and wife Kathy of Merritt Island, Florida, son Dean Ojeda and wife
Doris of Sand Springs, niece Maura Bank of Portland OR, granddaughter Melissa Johannesmeyer of Sand Springs, grandson Donovan Manship of Palmdale, great-grandchildren Brooke, Paige, Cameron, Colin, and Zach. She was preceded in death by her father Max Halpern, Mother Frances Halpern, sister Anne Bank, and Grandson Dean Manship.
A private funeral service will be held at the time of cremation to honor Mitzi’s request.
