Minnie Wilson's Obituary
Minnie Standlee Wilson from Tulsa, OK passed away November 18, 2020 at the age of 96.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24th at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Tulsa, OK. Minnie will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband on November 25, 2020, in Rose Hill cemetery, Ardmore, OK.
She was born on January 3, 1924, in Dawson, OK to Henry Milton and Ida Whisman Standlee. She was married to Wiley Wilson on June 30, 1946, in Dawson OK. They made their home in Tulsa before moving to Ardmore, OK. After the loss of her husband, Minnie returned to Tulsa in 1998 to be closer to family.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband, Wiley Wilson; and her eldest son, Carl H. Wilson. She is survived by one son, Walter Wilson and wife Joan; daughter Beth Ann Arjay and husband Terry; daughter Kaye Breiger and husband Ed; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; verbally adopted son, Bill and daughter Nonie Shelton; one sister-in-law; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She was a long time member of the 1st Christian Church in Ardmore, Brookhaven Christian Church in Tulsa, and her most recent church home Yale Avenue Christian Church. Her faith and love of our Lord was revealed in everything she did.
Her favorite activities were camping, crafts, baking, and most importantly spending time with her family. She was an avid cook, seamstress, and prankster!
She loved so many people and received much love in return. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23 from 3 pm - 6 pm.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, November 24 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
