Miriam C. Lovell's Obituary
Miriam C. Lovell, age 70, passed away Saturday October 6th, 2018 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa with her loving husband at her side. She was born August 1st, 1948 to parents, Cornelia Wilhelmina Swart and Arie van Veen in De Bilt, Netherlands. She attended elementary school in Holland and moved to the United States at age 13 to continue school through Bishop Kelly High School where she graduated with the class of 1967. After graduation, she attended Robert’s Beauty School and received her cosmetology license. She had many clients through the years that also became lifelong friends. Miriam married her husband, James K. Lovell on December 28th, 1968. They went on to raise two children. Miriam watched all three races of the Triple Crown every year along with the Breeder’s Cup, read many books, and attended events with her grandchildren. Over the years, she traveled the country with her family, including her brothers. Miriam attended St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso. She enjoyed watching Chip and Joanna Gaines on “Fixer Upper”.Miriam is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, James K. Lovell; brothers, Hank Van Veen and wife, Jeannie Van Veen, Jacques Van Veen and wife, MaryAnn Van Veen and Ben Van Veen; daughters, Carleen Burke and Sonya Lovell; granddaughters, Cornelia Burke and Teresa Burke; many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clarehouse.
