I am so pleased to have known Molly. My relationship with Molly started as a professional one at Morgan Stanley, but soon turned more personal. First it was all business, and over time, I got to know about her life and family through her stories. Molly always had scheduled appointments – there was no â??just showing up.â? What I enjoyed the most â?? besides the fact that she was always well dressed and coiffed â?? was that she was sharp. She liked talking about the economy and was up-to-date with the news. She was prepared for our appointments and prepared for life. She was a planner and liked having everything in order â?? I liked that trait too. Many of our conversations centered on pleasing her children and spending time at home with Linda and Jerry and Larry and Betty and Gearyâ??s adventures in Alaska. Even though they are all adults, she wanted to take care of them and please them. Some of us today do not know about a simple joy she had â?? going to the casino. ? Now, I know some folks disagree with lifelong savers heading to the slot machines, but I will say, she loved it! It was fun and stimulating â?? she liked the noise and the action â?? and winning some too. It always made her smile to talk about it, particularly during a time when her activity list was shrinking. So, secretly, I wish I had gone to the casino with her to see her in action! Some people are quiet and insecure, but not Molly. With me, she was quiet, but spoke her mind. Quiet, but asked advice and really listened to and pondered before making up her mind. I never heard a complaint from Molly, only a desire to please others.Mollyâ??s family wanted to especially recognize some of her physicians and medical staff â?? Drs. Lawler and Jill Wenger and Dr. Goldenstern who is now retired. Itâ??s a small world that I know all of these physicians â?? each of whom sends their condolences. And Purita was a steady medical provider who took the word â??caringâ? seriously. Dr. Goldenstern said it best, â??Molly Sissel was a quiet, brave, strong woman. She taught me â??silent courage.â??â?I will surely miss Molly.
