Mona was the Mother-in-law of my sister, Marvetta, but from the moment I met her as a teenager, she treated ME like family. She was a beautiful soul. I always loved visiting her home, hearing the cuckoo clocks and just visiting with her. I am lucky to have known her and know that my nephews and niece were blessed to have her for a grandma. As sad as her passing is, happy to know she is finally reunited with Marvin. I’m sure she saw my mom and gave her a big hug!
Aunt Mona was a very special person in my life. So many fond memories. Most involved food. The 5 M’s were always loving and welcoming. She and Marvin raised a wonderful family.
