Mona Lynn Ingle's Obituary
Mona Lynn Ingle, 77 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, August 6, 2018 at her home in Tulsa. She was born October 16, 1940 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Elmer Robert Callison and Ruth Louise Steffens Callison.From an early age, Mona was active in many clubs and organizations (pep club, student council, 4-H club, Thea Rho, Future Homemakers of America, Rainbow girls, and Girl Scouts). She also attended Sunday school and church every week. She was even valedictorian of the Pryor graduating class of 1958! She went on to study and graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University and followed with further certification in medical technology from Hillcrest. She worked for South Tulsa Pathology Lab until she retired. She was married to Richard Bailey of Tulsa, Oklahoma and had 2 children, Robert and Lynda. While working full time, Mona was still able to dedicate herself fully to family and friends. She was also an active member of Harvard Avenue Christian Church. She still made plenty of time to help lead Girl Scouts for her daughter and superseded the daily needs of her family. She remarried in 1989 to Charles Ingle and she opened her heart to serve members of her “new” family. Mona and Charles were blessed to have the opportunity to travel overseas as well as complete several genealogy trips to learn more about their heritage. Celebrations throughout the years were filled with love and were always a priority for her. She continued to stay in contact with lifelong friends who supported her as well as enjoyed attending musicals, book clubs, and trips with friends. She became “Gran” along with Charles as “Papa Sooie” (in honor of the Arkansas Razorbacks) as they both surrounded their grandchildren with their time, love, and legacy. Memories of mom will continue to bless us all.Mona is survived by her loving husband, Charles Hubert Ingle of the home; one daughter, Lynda Crouch and husband Rick of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one son, Robert Bailey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one grandson, Kai Crouch of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Breanna Bailey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one step-son, Charles “Chuck” Ingle and wife Pamela of Coweta, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Ramona Swaffar and husband Rusty of Tulsa, Oklahoma and one sister-in-law, Susan Fender and husband Ronnie of Dallas, Texas. Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer “Dick” and Ruth Callison; one brother, Harold Dean Callison; and one sister, Myrna Rosalie Callison.A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bob Herndon officiating.There will be a reception following the service in the Floral Haven Family Center from 11:00am to 1:00pm and everyone is invited.In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Hospice of Green Country, 1120 S Boston Ave # 200, Tulsa, OK 74119.
