Monika Conley's Obituary
Monika Conley, a resident of Tulsa, passed away May 6, 2017 at the age of 75. She was born in Rhinebeck, Germany on January 15, 1942. She met her husband, Marvin, while he was stationed in Idar-Oberstein and they were married June 21, 1963. Before settling in Tulsa, they lived in Germany, Georgia and Hawaii. She was employeed as a Dialysis Technician with Hillcrest Hospital for 47 years. She was a dedicated employee, mother and friend. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, hats, sweaters, pretty much whatever anyone wanted. Watching the Cubs play baseball was her favorite activity, and seeing them win the series last year was something she thought she’d never see in her lifetime. Taking road trips, being with her family, having a drink with friends, playing softball….these are just a few things she enjoyed doing. Christmas was her favorite time of year because she loved to buy things for other…in fact, she was always thinking of others. She loved her family more than life, and chances are, if you knew her, she considered you family.She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin W. Conley.Survivors include daughter, Patricia Pugh of Jenks and her children, Amanda and husband, Monty Ragsdale and her great grandchildren, Gavin, Chase and Reid of Catoosa, Allen Pugh and wife, Jessica and great grandchildren, Emma and Allie of Owasso; son, Mikel W. Conley and his fiancé, Heather Wright of Catoosa; daughter, La’Von and husband, Andy Waddington and her children, Chloe and Zack of Tulsa; brother-in-law, Ronnie Conley and wife, Mary of Tulsa; brother-in-law, Kenny Conley and family of Collinsville.Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow with Beau Berman officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
