Monroe E. Burris' Obituary
Monroe E. Burris, 88, of Sand Springs, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was born on January 23, 1925, in Gore, Oklahoma, the son of Bud and Etta Viola Burris. On January 15, 1949, he married Elema Mae Swimmer in Van Buren, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Elema Burris, of Tulsa, children, Glenda Mendenhall, and her husband, Gene, of Sand Springs, Larry Burris, and his wife, Janet, of Keifer, Oklahoma, Debbie Prisinzano, and her husband, Mario, of Beggs, Oklahoma, and Robbie Burris, and his wife, Pam, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous brothers, sisters, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his, parents, grandson, Shawn Mendenhall, two sisters and one brother.
