Oh how I loved to hear this sweet lady speak! She and Brother Paul pastured our church at Airline Baptist Church when I was in grade school. My parents became close friends as my dad entered the ministry. I will never forget Brother Paul playing the guitar and singing Cecillia, I don't think Myrtle ever grew tired of his antics they were such a sweet couple. Later this couple moved to South Persimmon while my dad pastored at Sharon. More memories there as well. Finally Myrtle moved to the retirement center where my parents were the administrators and we were able to have more blessed time to be with her. In these last years I loved to read the letters she would pen to my parents. She was a talented writer… Very articulate. I will miss those letters and miss knowing Myrtle. Praise the Lord that she is rejoicing in heaven.
