Nancy Jean Gleeson's Obituary
Nancy Jean Gleeson sadly left our world in the early morning of July 13, 2024, after a strong fight with Small Cell cancer.
Nancy was born to Evelyn and Bill McBrayer in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on August 4, 1948. She was the eldest of three children, with her younger siblings being Andy McBrayer and Jan Nixon.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Jerry W. Gleeson. When Jerry met Nancy, he knew she was the one he wanted to firmly, and lovingly tell him what to do for the rest of his life, and that she did each and every day. The two were engaged even before their first date. Nancy and Jerry went on to have 4 children, of which Nancy is survived by - Tamara, Steve, Michael and Amanda and their respective partners. Nancy has 6 beloved grandchildren who endearingly call her Jamma.
Nancy was an avid member of many clubs and committees, including but not limited to Tulsa Garden Cub, Col High Reunion planning, various bridge clubs, American Diabetes Association, Designer Showcase, as well as bring a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
Nancy was a successful business owner throughout her life with many businesses, but the one that brought her the most joy and success was Fiber Seal. Owning two franchises across 3 states kept her very busy, but that did not stop her from being a beloved Jamma, wonderful mother, and dedicated confidant to all her favorite people. Nancy took great pride in being heavily involved in the lives of her family and friends, and we believe that everyone’s lives are better because of this. She will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
