Nancy Slifka's Obituary
Nancy Patricia Slifka, 79 passed from her life on July18, 2021. She was the second child born to James and Mildred Schejbal on October 8,1941 in Berwyn, IL. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brother James Vincent Schejbal.
Nancy graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in Illinois. She completed beauty school and owned a beauty shop for a few years before going to nursing school at Morton College, in Cicero, IL. She was a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years. Nancy will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, living life on her terms, her passion for travel, artistic talent, caring for her family and others and her love of animals. (especially dogs). When Nancy retired, she moved from Berwyn, IL to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. She later moved to Broken Arrow, OK to live out her final years.
She is survived by her children; son, David and spouse Dee Kanner of Broken Arrow, OK, her daughters; Elizabeth Slifka of Green Bay, WI and Julie Bringle of Broken Arrow, OK; Grandchildren, Anthony and spouse Lorilee Kanner of San Diego, CA, Krista and spouse Bret Stanley of Broken Arrow, OK, Vincent and spouse Kiana Falco of Green Bay, WI, Lauren Bringle and Morgan Bringle of Robertsdale, AL and Katie Bringle of Wilmington, NC; Great-Grandchildren, Kyran, River, Saylor and Nicholas.
While Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew her, we are comforted knowing she is at peace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23 from 9 am - 11 am at the Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Graveside services will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 23 in the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
