Naoma Marie Crawford's Obituary
Memorial Service to be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Floral Haven Funeral Chapel. Naoma Marie Norrie Crawford was born May 26, 1924, to Willis Jasper Norrie and Elma Belle Sisson Norrie. Willis was one-half Scottish and a meat cutter. Elma was a descendant in five ways to the Mayflower pilgrims. Naoma had an older sister, Helen Louise Norrie Neal.Naoma was a WWII War bride to Charles S. Crawford, Jr. They had four children: Caryn Clark of Maryland, Chuck Crawford of Delaware, Charlotte Chavez of Tulsa and Curtis Crawford of Nevada. There were seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.At retirement, she was an operational nuclear engineer at the Nevada Test Site. In retirement, she enjoyed embroidery, crotcheting, a bit of travel, playing crossword puzzles and most importantly, family.She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband and three of her grandchildren.Her passing will not end the legacy of love that she created.
