Beth Brown's Obituary
Naomi "Beth" Brown was born December 29, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Ward and Amy Jackson Norton. She went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2022, at the age of 88.
Beth is survived by her daughter Gwen Jones of Tulsa, OK, and step sons J.R. Brown of Collinsville, OK, Wayne Brown, of Barnsdall, Ok, and grandchildren Kimberley Hatzfeld, of Parkville, MO, Julie Knapp and her husband, Chris, Kate Jones, James and Gina Munuhe, all of Tulsa, OK, Ryan Snell, Kurt Snell, and Chris and Tabitha Snell, all of Broken Arrow, fifteen great-grand children and one great-great-grandson.
Beth was proceeded in death by her parents, Ward and Amy Norton, sister, Jean Vaughn, brother, Richard Norton, her husband of 35 years, Robert Snell, her sons, Robert and Mike Snell, and the love of her life, her second husband, Cotton Brown.
Family and friends, travel, helping others, and education were the joys of Beth's life. She was married to Cotton for 30 years. They had a wonderful marriage because they were both affectionate romantics. Their marriage was a true example of 1Corinthians 13:13, "the greatest of these is love". Their lives came to an end only 8 days apart. As their maker says, they are "Together Forever". She loved to travel and many RV trips allowed her to explore much of the U.S., with Alaska as her favorite. She was such a curious person, and focused much off her exploration on improving health, real estate, and Bible study. As she worked alongside Bob in their Coweta auto parts store, she saw real estate opportunities, studied for the exam, and became a successful Realtor. Beth attended Bible Study Fellowship, with Gwen for over 20 years. Her love for the Lord grew deeply and she passed it along to the great-grandchildren, they took with them to class. She greatly enjoyed a lasting fellowship of dear friends from BDF, "The Lunch Bunch". She also belonged to two Red Hat Social Clubs that she loved immensely. Beth's heart was for serving. Many times she would food to others, even though she was known in the family as "not being" the best cook. She loved to help.
The celebration of Beth's and Cotton's lives will be held at Floral Haven Chapel, Broken Arrow, OK on July 29, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Graveside service immediately following. Memorials may be made in her honor to Bible Study Fellowship International.
