Nardith Louise Yoder's Obituary
Nardith Louise Yoder was born on July 17, 1932 in Harper, Kansas to Roy and Edith Carr. She passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at the age of 80.The youngest of 7 siblings, she attended school in Harper, KS where she was active as a high school cheerleader, and as a drummer in the high school band. It was in Harper that she met and married the love of her life, Earl Wesley Yoder. They were married on March 31, 1951 and had 61 amazing years of marriage.Together they spent 22 months in San Antonio TX, where Wesley was in the Army. Upon discharge from the Army, they moved to Lawrence, KS, where Nardith earned her PHT (put hubby through)! From Lawrence they moved to Ponca City OK, Denver CO, Wichita KS, and to the state she swore she would never return to…Merritt Island, Florida! After Florida, they moved yet again to Tulsa, OK where they settled down for good.Along the way, Wes and Nardith somehow found time to have 6 children. As active as they were, she always found time to attend endless, numerous ball games, scout troop meetings, PTA meetings, dance recitals, swimming meets, and church activities. Nardith was a devoted, loving wife,mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who took pride in all her “children”, and never forgot a birthday or missed a celebration.Nardith decided she needed a “break” so she went to work as a Pharmacy Tech at Skaggs Albertsons. For over a decade, she enjoyed working with her fellow employees where she always said her co-workers were what made it so fun to work there.Nardith enjoyed sewing and made many unique items including Halloween costumes, Wizard of Oz costumes, and amazing, intricate Christmas stockings for every member of the family.Nardith is survived by her sister Nadine and Charles Brown of Grand Prarie, TX.She is also survived by her husband Wes of 61 years and their 6 children: Scott and Sharon Yoder of Tulsa Dalene Lawrence of Tulsa Diana and Gary Garbe of Owasso Steve and Becky Yoder of Tulsa DJ and Joe Yarbrough of Era, TX Spencer and Melissa Yoder of Verdigris, OKAlso surviving are her 15 grandchildren Sean Yoder Shana (and Bradley) Griffin Matt Lawrence Chase Lawrence Cooper Garbe Cal Garbe Connor Garbe Tara Yoder Brennan Yoder Savannah Yoder Skyler Yoder Morgan Yarbrough Molly Yarbrough Maggie Yarbrough Wyatt Yarbrough…and 1 great grandchild due in February, Emersynn K Griffin.Nardith was known best for her unique sense of humor, her stubbornness, her infectious smile, and her deep love for her family.She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We find comfort in knowing that she is without pain and is joyfully celebrating her eternal life! Rest in peace Mom. We love you! Save us a spot!
