Natalie Mae Brown's Obituary
Natalie Mae Brown, 96 of Parkhill, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Natalie was born November 27, 1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Clifton Arthur Puckett and Lena Mae Duncan Puckett.
Natalie was married to her late husband Adrian Brown in 1968 and they shared in over 29 wonderful years together.
Natalie is survived by her children Judy McCurley and her husband Daniel of Park Hill, Oklahoma, and Joyce Glidewell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her grandchildren Scott Glidewell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Patricia Hancock and husband Aaron of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Sherry Houston and her husband James of Park Hill, Oklahoma, and Darius Houston of Park Hill, Oklahoma; her eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Natalie is preceded in death by her father Clifton Puckett; her mother Lena Leet; her husband Adrian Brown; her son-in-law Howard Glidewell; her great-grandson Chase Hancock; and her grandson Matt Houston.
Natalie was a special lady and the loss of her is felt deeply by many. She is described by her granddaughter, Patricia, as the most kindest, generous, giving, and loving person she has ever known, everyone who knew her felt the same way. She always had a way to make you feel safe, secure, loved, and that everything would always be okay. Natalie always had a smile on her face. She never had a negative word to say about anyone. You could always depend on her, she was always willing to help in any way she could. Christmas was always special to her. She would talk about being a little girl and take her lunch to school so she could save her lunch money for Christmas presents. She would start making a Christmas gift list for the next year as soon as Christmas was over. She loved to crochet afghans blankets. Every year she would crochet afghans all year long to give as Christmas gifts to family members. Natalie always made sure everyone in the family had a nice Christmas. She loved to travel. Anytime someone said let's go she had her bag packed and was in the car. Her family was her world. She was the one constant in all our lives. She made a point to know what was going on with each of us. She helped with grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She had a special relationship with each one of her family members. She was the glue that held the entire family together. We will miss our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother, her spirit and strength, lives on in each of us and in the lives that she touched.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 14, 2022 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
