Nathaniel Wredell Madlock's Obituary
On June 18, 1996, a precious, beautiful baby boy was given from the Lord to Wredell and Yvonne Madlock of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nathaniel was the youngest of three children, and the only boy. Nathaniel went to school for most of his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, while attending a brief stent at Westside Elementary and Middle Schools in Omaha, Nebraska. Nathaniel graduated from Union High School in, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2014, and went on to enroll at Tulsa Community College, where he was attending at the time of his departing. From the time he was three years old, Nathaniel was constantly being complimented on his intelligence. He had a passion for computer programming, math, philosophy, and learning new languages; he was also an extremely skilled artist and enjoyed drawing from time to time. In middle school, Nathaniel started learning on his own how to read and write Chinese. He would often put his passwords in Chinese so none of would know what it was. While in high school Nathaniel attended the Tulsa Technology Center where he studied Application Development and Web Programming; and received a certificate in the Android 4.0 and Java 6 Programs. Because he excelled in these programs, Nathaniel was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) in March of 2014. After high school Nathaniel was hired at Reasor’s Food Store where he continually expressed his joy in being there, and in the people he worked with. Nathaniel enjoyed music and his favorite was music from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. I often told him he had an old soul. He would constantly work on his computer programming and would order countless books on the subject after he discovered the joys of online purchasing. Nathaniel had an extremely big heart and would do anything he could for his family and friends. Nathaniel is preceded in going home by his loving grandmothers: Elouise Madlock, and Anna Lee Love; his grandfather Leroy Joshua Gibson; also by his great-grandfather: Alonzo Madlock. Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memories: his Dad, Wredell Madlock, his Mother, Yvonne Madlock; two very loving sisters: Joy Madlock and Gabrielle Madlock, and his ulncles: Alonzo Madlock and Kevin Madlock, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; an Aunt Alice Marie of Denton, Texas; his first cousins: Kevin Madlock, Jr. Of Chicago, Illinois, and Marcel Aaron Crenshaw of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also leaves to remember him a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and his beloved church family. The family of Nathanield Wredell Madlock would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who prayed with them, called, sent cards and flowers, and visited with them. They thank God for every act of kindness and generosity, for this has truly been a great source of inspiration and comfort during this difficult time. May God continue to bless each and every one of you and your families! A special thank you to Pastors Dwayne and Gloria Blue for their tireless work and effort that they extend to all of God’s people on a daily basis; and to all the members of The New Testament Holiness Church for their help and dedication. Thank you, to my co-workers at the Tulsa VA OPC for their love, prayers and show of support, and to the staff of Floral Haven Funeral Home for their care and concern.A celebration of Nathaniel’s life will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 21, 2015, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
