Fraulein Hice's Obituary
Mrs. Fraulein Hice passed away Wednesday, April 21 2021 after a long illness at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 26 at 1:00 PM at the Carbondale Church of Christ. Interment follows at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends on Sunday at Floral Haven Cemetery from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, April 26.
Fraulein was born January 30, 1931 in Winfield, Alabama to the late Boss Luther and Edna (Corkren) Mays. She was a military wife and homemaker until her children were raised and then worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the Tulsa Public Schools. Fraulein took great pride in her family and enjoyed living in the many states and foreign countries where the US Air Force posted her husband, Kenneth. She was a talented oil painter and well known as an accomplished maker of clothes for her family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Esther Stewart and Mary Ryan; four brothers: Dee Mays, Edward Mays, David Mays and Ray Mays.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Hice; three sons: Keith Hice (Denise) of Milwaukee Wisconsin; Mark Hice of Owasso Oklahoma; Jay Hice (Megumi) of Saginaw Texas; one daughter: Karan Bearer (Thomas) of Tulsa; one brother: Wallice Mays of Flint, Michigan. She also leaves three granddaughters: Stephanie Hice of Silver Spring Maryland; Megan Hice and Allison Bearer of Tulsa; two grandsons: Matthew Hice and Jackson Bearer of Tulsa.
