Nellie Suzanna's Obituary
Nellie Suzanna was born March 3, 1983 in Tucson, Arizona to Karol and Floyd. From the day she was born, her huge personality shone through. She was always smiling and always surrounded by friends and family. She was a proud graduate of Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, OK and enjoyed her time in track and field throwing shot put.
In 2004, shortly after her 21st birthday, Nellie found out about her heart condition. She powered on and gave birth to her two sons Matthew Besser in November of 2004 and Zackary Besser in June of 2006. She truly believed they were her miracles and her reason for being.
On October 24th, 2006, she underwent her first open heart surgery at the age of 23. She became an advocate for the American Heart Association, doing the annual walks and promoting the Wear Red in February for Heart Disease Awareness.
Nellie was never afraid of hard work. She was raised to believe that it was never a problem to get your hands dirty and to do things for yourself and she did so before and after her surgery. She was loving, caring, and always willing to help anyone who needed it.
She always always had a smile and she strived to follow her mantra “Live life to the fullest.”
On Monday, May 11th, 2020, Nellie passed away at the age of 37 during her second open heart surgery.
Nellie is proceeded in death by her grandparents and her uncle.
Nellie is survived by her two sons, Matthew and Zackary, her parents Karol and Danny Stults and Floyd Myers, her brothers Joseph Swick and Steven Lee, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of life-long friends.
