Neva Ann Remington's Obituary
Neva Ann (Riddle) Remington was born October 24, 1932, in Oklahoma City, OK the daughter of Mae Riddle-Ritchie. She passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 88, at the home of her niece near Foyil, OK. Neva started to school in Shawnee, OK. Family moved to Tulsa in 1942 where she continued her education graduating from Central High School class of 1950.
Upon graduation Neva began a secretarial career, but not long afterwards was introduced to a coworker’s cousin, Archie Remington. They were married on April 3, 1953, for 67 years. They made their home in the country near Foyil from 1970, for the next 50 years. Together they served the community with the Foyil Fire Department.
Neva is preceded in death by her husband Archie Remington, her mother Mae Ritchie and sister Trudy Burris. She is survived by a sister, Uneeda Newton, and her husband Joe, along with her nieces Tina Duncan, Debbie Wilson and Melissa Newton, and her nephew, John Newton, along with great nieces and nephew, many cousins and friends.
We gratefully appreciate the compassionate care of her caregiver, Loretta Stutsman, and niece, Carol Dewey. Also, we want to thank Compassus Hospice staff for their professional services and loving concern for Neva.
Funeral services will be held at Foyil First Assembly of God Church, Highway 66, on April 7, 2021, at 10:00 am, with interment at Floral Haven Cemetery at 2pm. There will be a family viewing on April 6, at 4pm to 6pm. Friends are invited to attend.
