Nick Hunt's Obituary
Nick “Pops” Hunt, age 83, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his mother Una Jane Hunt and his siblings, Dorothy DeGeer, Betty Hubbard, Jo Hunt, Charlie Hunt, Kitty Hunt, Patricia Hunt, Jack Hunt, Ed Hunt, and Tim Hunt. He is survived by his wife Judith Ann, his son, Brian Hunt (Katy) of Tulsa and three grandchildren, Hayden Hunt, and his wife Emma (Dallas), Sally Hunt (Denver), Susan Hunt (Tulsa), and his brother Bob Hunt (Sand Springs). He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Born on September 10, 1939, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, he was the youngest of eleven children. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School and served in the Army at Fort Hood as a Military Policeman and later worked as a Sales Administrator at Telex, Unit Rig, and Gear Products during his career. Nick & Judith married on March 18, 1966, and celebrated 57 years of marriage. They loved each other throughout their lives, were active as youth group leaders at First Christian Church, and then became members at Asbury. Nick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and will be missed by everyone that knew him. His compassion, incredible sense of humor, and good nature made him a friend to many. His legacy of strong faith and family reminds us that we all can choose to live a life of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.
A celebration of his life will be Friday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
