Nora Emilia Berard's Obituary
Nora Emilia Berard, 98, of Bethesda, MD, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2020, at her home. She was born September 16, 1921, in Independence, KS, to John and Louise (Zimmerman) Tobaben. She was a long-time resident of Tulsa, moving to Bethesda, MD, in 1997. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling, and was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Silver Spring, MD. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Berard, her parents, and six sisters. Nora is survived by her daughters, Mary Berard of Cary, NC, and Anita Davis (Mark) of Bethesda, MD; four grandchildren, Alexis Hetrick (Phil), Annie Reuben (Britta Jones), Benjamin Davis, and Sarah Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hetrick and Nathanial Hetrick.
A private burial service was held at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Tulsa, OK. Donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (youreyes.org).
