Norma Jean Demarest's Obituary
Norma Jean Demarest, a resident of Tulsa, passed away February 24, 2019 at the age of 87. She was born February 10, 1932 to Arthur Spencer and Lillie Mae (Crawford) Young in Anadarko, Oklahoma.She enjoyed taking care of dogs and cats (she was an animal lover) antiques, doll collecting, watching movies, cooking, home making, shopping, plants, astrology.She was the greatest most loving mother, grandmother, and friend one could ever ask for. Norma brought such a bright light to this world, especially to those blessed to know her! The world is a far darker place without her but the heavens shine brighter than ever in her beautiful presence. For those of us left, we will grieve and miss you for all remaining days until we can be reunited in heaven.She was preceded in death by her husband Fredrick Claire Demarest; mother Lillie May Crawford; step-father Walter Young, father Arthur Spencer; granddaughter Jennifer Cannon, and ex husband Leland Cannon and many beloved dogs, cats, and two turtles.Survivors include her two sons Roger and Randy Cannon; daughter, Jeannie Gibson; granddaughters Tanya McCall, Melissa Cannon, and Anastasia Cannon; grandsons Walter Cannon, Matthew Cannon, Sean Gibson and Nathaniel Cannon; great grandchildren Aspen and Hunter Gibson, and her cat Stretch.Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Tulsa Jewish Retirement Center.
