Norma Jean Hyde's Obituary
Norma Jean Hyde, a beloved mother, grandmother, prayer warrior, and woman of unwavering faith, passed peacefully from this life on July 13, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on August 15, 1930, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jack and Florance Fox, Norma’s life was marked by integrity, devotion, and quiet strength. She graduated from Tulsa's Daniel Webster High School in 1948 and continued her education at business college, laying the foundation for a life centered around family, service, and faith.
In 1947, Norma began attending Carbondale Assembly of God with her future husband, Jack Merle Hyde. The two were married on January 7, 1949, in Tulsa, and built a loving and faith-filled home together. Merle’s mother, Sadie Hyde, often remarked that Norma and Merle were a perfect fit—both being perfectionists. Norma's home was always immaculate, her love for God wholehearted, and her prayers steadfast. She lived her faith deeply and quietly, touching countless lives through her gentle strength and enduring commitment to those she loved.
Her greatest joys came from time spent with her family—especially during holidays and birthdays, where her presence made every gathering warmer and more memorable. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers, pouring the same care into nature that she did into her relationships. Norma’s grace and devotion will be forever treasured by those who knew her.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Jack Fox of Wheeler, Texas and Florance (Hottel) Fox of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her husband, Jack Merle Hyde of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her brother, Jack A. Fox of Gore, Oklahoma.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her daughter, Becky Breedlove, and husband, Dale, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandson, Justin Breedlove, his wife, Jamie, and their daughter, Jenna, of Jenks, Oklahoma; her grandson, Jared Breedlove, and wife, Jeri, with their children, Kyler and Brooke, also of Jenks. Norma is also survived by her niece, Jacalyn Pack of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; nephews James Fox and wife Beth, of Gore, Oklahoma; nephew John Fox and wife Sue, of Gore, Oklahoma; nephew, Don Hyde and wife Zelinda of Tulsa, Oklahoma; niece, Sheryl Green and husband Dick of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever miss her quiet wisdom and faithful heart.
Norma’s life was a living testament to grace, humility, and God’s enduring love. She will be deeply missed and eternally celebrated.
