Norman "Norm" Cupp went to be with the Lord on January 31st, 2023 in his home in Owasso, Oklahoma with his wife and stepson by his side. He was born to Norman Eli Cupp and Peggy Lou (Shelton) Cupp on May 5th, 1951.
Norm grew up and went to school in Elk City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Elk City High School in 1969. Right after high school, he moved to Bakersfield, California where he worked in the oil extraction industry. Later, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served 4 years. He was stationed at different USAF bases here in the states and also overseas in Thailand. After his military service, he went back into the oil industry. Unfortunately, the oil business in Oklahoma went down. He then decided to go back to school in San Antonio, TX, and became a licensed A&P Aircraft Mechanic. He was offered a job and moved to Tulsa, OK to work for American Airlines. He loved & enjoyed his job as a crew chief in Flight Control & Interior shop.
Norm used to have long hair & full-bearded face. One day, he decided to cut all his hair & shave his head clean. He was fondly called “Mr. Clean” by his co-workers. He worked for American Airlines for 35 years. He retired last September 2020.
Norm enjoyed going to church with his wife and attending get-togethers/fellowships, bible studies as well as social gatherings in the Filipino Community in Tulsa and surrounding cities. He was very involved with the Filipino Group Fellowship at Victory Church – Tulsa, where they are affiliated with. He truly loved and enjoyed his adopted “Filipino Families.”
