Norman Dale Eads' Obituary
Norman Dale Eads, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away June 11, 2018 at the age of 77. He was born February 1, 1941 at Frank Eads and Erma (Kell) Eads in Kansas, Oklahoma. Dale served in the United States Army as a mechanic and sharp shooter and was honorably discharged in 1965. He met Barb December 26th at a country music party, set up by her sister and his uncle, John Kell, introduced them. They had another date on New Years Eve, where they were hit head on by a drunk driver. They were engaged by Easter and married by Labor Day.Norman Dale enjoyed working on cars and was very good at the body work and paint jobs. He didn’t want any grandchildren but when they called to say Autumn was born, Barb said he was driving out of the driveway, leaving her wanting to get there to hold the baby. It was the same with all the girls. He was very proud of all his kids and grandkids. Dale was onery and wherever he went, they would laugh and say “Here Comes Trouble.” He played the guitar and shared this talent with his dad, brother and friend, Donald McCartney.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Erma Eads and brother, Lynn.Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara Eads; son, Terry; daughter, Clarice and husband, Mick; four grandchildren, Autumn, Allie, Taya, Priyah, Jack and Atticus and three great grandchildren, Arthur, Trip and Dayton.Viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13th at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14th at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Christian Burt and Mick Haupt officiating.Pallbearers will be Frank Lewis, Terry Rainwater, Randy Stewart, Brian Eads, Christian Burt, David Whittington, Bill Sivadon and Jeremiah Lusby.
