Odelia "Dee" Etta "Arons" Doverspike's Obituary
Odelia Doverspike Odelia Etta (Arons) Doverspike passed away on December 27, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. Odelia “Dee” was born in San Angelo, Texas on February 28, 1927 to John Clark Arons and Martha (McAfee) Arons. She married Richard C. Doverspike on February 13, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings, Henry Arons, Glen Arons, Vera Mae Moore and Jewel Reitzel. Dee is survived by her husband, Richard C. Doverspike; her son, Terry Doverspike of Tulsa and wife, Connie; her daughter, Pamela Petros of Tulsa and husband, Lee; her grandson, Adam Doverspike of Tulsa and wife, Jennifer; her granddaughter, Erica (Doverspike) Crowder of Bixby and husband, Jared; her step grandchildren, Tony Petros, Laura Bales and Charles Petros; her great grandchildren, Lucy and James Doverspike and Avery and Darcy Crowder. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Dee enjoyed sewing and knitting for her children and grandchildren and, later in life, spending time traveling with her husband and being with her family. Dee was always kind, generous and compassionate to everyone she met and was very special to her family and close friends. She lived a full and loving life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tulsa or to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. A Celebration of Dee’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Tulsa with a private family committal. www.floralhaven.com
