Ronda, Joel and Becky; Our family sends you our deepest sympathy on the loss of Oral. I remember him as a fine man who was always smiling and joking and who was deeply committed to the Lord. I offered to take Vernon to the funeral but at 89 and wheelchair bound, he just wasn't up to it. Like Oral's loss of Jane, the loss of Pat has taken a lot out of him. It is sad, but we all need to remember that the "Motorcycle Gang" is slowly being re-united in a Heavenly celebration. The past few days I have looked at family photos and recalled wonderful memories. As a kid growing up I thought my Aunt Jane and Uncle Oral were the most awesome aunt and uncle. They played, loved, and maybe even spoiled me a little. After my mom passed away, it was Aunt Jane I turned to for all the motherly advice. Then when I had my own girls Aunt Jane and Uncle Oral again became superheroes. Being there each summer for a very special week for my girls. Playing dominoes, taking them fishing, letting them ride in the back of the pickup , and teaching them that sometimes it's okay to stop at Braums for ice cream even though you are headed home to eat dinner. Uncle Oral even after Aunt Jane went on to Heaven you always would keep checking on us and was still that superhero for us. Thank you are all the love and support. Missy , Abby , and Lauren Durkee
