Otis Grant Bellows' Obituary
Otis Grant Bellows, known as Bo Bellows, passed away on March 4, 2015. He was born on March 14, 1933 in Santa Rita, TX, the fourth or four children born to Carl and Ida Bellows. His family moved to Tulsa when Bo was in grade school where he attended Clinton Junior High and Central Senior High. Upon his graduation in 1952 he served in the U S Navy until 1956, spending the majority of that time on the island of Guam. He returned to Tulsa after his Navy discharge and began a long career as an insurance claims adjuster, working for several different companies. He later worked as a Branch Manager for insurance companies in Albuquerque, NM and Woodland Hills, CA. He moved back to Tulsa and continued work as a claims adjuster until his retirement in 1995. After his retirement, he enjoyed working part-time in golf pro-shops, as golf was always his favorite way to spend his time.Bo married Danette Wallace, of Tulsa, OK in December of 1969. He had one daughter, Deborah (Mrs. Martin) Provencal of Gravette, AR; two step-daughters, Susan McCauley of Sand Springs, OK and Cheryl (Mrs. John) Barr of Bixby, OK and one step-son, Dan Wallace and his wife, Sharon, of Fort Worth, TX. He had ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Christian Church, was an avid golfer and enjoyed travel, especially to golfing events. He was loved by his family, and will be missed.Private, family service will be planned.
