Ottie Ellis King, 102, of Tulsa, died on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Ottie was born on December 17, 1911, in Talala, Oklahoma, the son of Reverend Charles Grant King and Elizabeth King. He had been a business owner in the Tulsa area for many years, owning various establishments. Ottie was a good man, who knew how to have a good time. He was someone you could always count on. He was the kind of person that saw the good in things, and helped others do the same. People loved to work for him, be friends with him, and just be around him. He is survived by his step-children, Jack Thompson, and his wife, Linda, of Tulsa, Eddie Phillips, of Dallas, TX, Roy Phillips, of Chicago, IL, Carolyn Pippin, and her husband, Bill, of Tulsa, nephew, Charles King, and his wife, Fleeta, of Bristow, OK, niece, Nancy Sullenger, of Jenks, OK, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Phyllis, brother, Lewis Ervin “Bud” King, Dean King, and sister, Mary Anglin. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Moose Lodge,11106 E 7th St, Tulsa, OK 74128.
