Ovella Followell's Obituary
Ovella Findley Followell, 88, of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Followell; son, Clarke Findley; and daughter, Dana Bishop. She is survived by: her daughter, Terri and husband, Ron Carson; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Carson, Dr. Michael Carson and wife, Ashley, Mrs. Nikki and Major Dan McGuire, Josh and Dru Bishop, Adam Findley and Hannah Findley; 6 great-grandchildren; and many extended family.Following graduation from Okemah High School in 1948, she attend Draughon’s Business College and represented the school in the Miss Tulsa Pageant. Ovella worked as an Executive Secretary for past presidents of: Amoco Oil, A.L. Solliday and E.F. Bullard for over 20 years. Following retirement she continued to work at Springer Clinic Pharmacy for 10 years. She attended Ranch Acres Baptist Church for 27 years before moving to New Haven Methodist Church. Her favorite things in life were spending time with her family and being active in church. If loving and caring about others counts, as we believe it does, her heavenly rewards will be great and many.Ovella’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service, will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2:00PM at New Haven United Methodist Church, 5603 S. New Haven Ave. Tulsa, OK 74135 Reception following at New Haven. No graveside service planned.
