Patricia Ann Johnson's Obituary
Patricia Ann (Betterton) Johnson was born July 9, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Otis and Rosalie June (McCormack) Betterton.
Pat attended Bell Jr. High from 1964 to 1967, where she met Ernie. They became close friends and often called each other boyfriend and girlfriend, attending many events together with their friends.
Pat attended Nathan Hale High School from 1967 to 1970. Pat and Ernie saw each other off and on during High School and ended up going to each other's senior prom.
Pat went on to attend Midwest Bible College in Oklahoma City for a year. She then moved back to Tulsa, where some years later she met and married her first husband. They had 2 kids together, Joel and Rebekah. After her divorce, she attended a Jr High Reunion where she met back up with Ernie, and they started dating for a couple of years before getting married on June 19th, 1992, in Tulsa.
After 4 grandkids and 33 years of blissful marriage, she passed on December 23rd of this year.
Pat’s biggest hobby was doing crafts of all kinds. She taught a senior class in crafts at Mitch Park in Edmond a few years back.
Her friends and family were very important to her. She would do anything she could for them, even if it meant doing without for herself.
But the most important people in her life were her grandkids. She was so proud of each one and was so happy when she got to see them or talk on the phone to them. She would tell her friends all about them and what they had done.
Pat is survived by her husband, Ernie Johnson, Jr.; sister, Connie Bales of Coweta, OK.; son, Joel Meanor of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Rebekah Meanor of Edmond, OK; step-daughter, Jennifer Smith and her husband Jeff of Fayetteville, GA; granddaughter, Reagan Smith; grandsons, Trevor Meanor, Brayden Meanor, and Taylor Smith; brother-in-law, Gary Johnson and his wife Robyn of Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law, Janet Johnson; and many more family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her grandmother, Connie Shofner; father, Otis Betterton; mother, Rosalie Betterton; father-in-law, Ernest Johnson Sr; mother-in-law, Margetta Johnson; brother-in-law, Tom Bales; brother-in-law, Mike Johnson
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:30 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
