Patricia Jean Miller's Obituary
Patricia Jean (Jetton) Miller, 76, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully from her residence on December 10, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 11, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Raymond Lee and Eva Jean Jetton.
After graduating from Will Rogers High School, Patricia pursued a career as a medical assistant. One Friday night, she and her friend Linda were out cruising around Boots Drive-In when Patricia locked eyes with Larry G. Miller. That moment led to 56 beautiful years together. Patricia and Larry were married shortly before Larry proudly served his country in Vietnam.
When Larry returned home safely, the couple felt incredibly blessed to begin their family. They welcomed a daughter, Tina, and a son, Todd. The family later relocated to Pennsylvania and later to Texas, where Larry served as an Accounting Executive with Sun Oil Company.
After some time, the Millers returned to Tulsa, where Patricia and Larry became deeply involved in Union Public Schools. They served as co-presidents of the PTA for many years, with Larry eventually being elected to serve on the Union School Board. Their dedication extended to their church, where they taught Sunday school together. Patricia later became the Director of Preschool at Christview Christian Church, where she combined her love for children with her passion for sharing the teachings of her Lord and Savior. She retired after 19 fulfilling years of service, leaving a lasting impact.
Known affectionately as “Trish” by her loved ones, Patricia treasured spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her joyful spirit and boundless love for others made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Larry Miller; her daughter, Tina Cunningham, and son in law, Louis; her son, Todd Miller; her brother, Stan Jetton; and her grandchildren: Kyle Cunningham, Ashlynn Cunningham, and Courtney Cunningham. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Tracey Warnock, Stacy Allen, Mark Jetton, Tim Thomas, and Toby Thomas. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Lee and Eva Jean Jetton, and her brother, Don Jetton.
Throughout her life, Patricia answered to many names: “Pat,” “Trish,” “Mom,” “Grammi,” and “Peta”—nicknames that reflected the warmth and love she shared with her family, church community, and preschool families. She was especially grateful for her lifelong friendships with Cheri Bryant, Melanie Harp, Mary Johnson, Cheryl Pitcock, and Lana Williams, friends who remained by her side throughout the years.
Patricia will be remembered for her bubbly personality, her compassionate nature, and her beautiful, loving heart. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
