Patricia Marie Mincolla's Obituary
Patricia Marie (Jahns) “Tricia” Mincolla, age 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus on January 28th, 2026. Born on September 7, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edward C. Jahns and Evaleah (Wynne) Jahns, Tricia was known for her intelligent and active mind, as well as her boundless compassion and endless hours helping with her younger siblings as a girl.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!), Tricia dedicated nearly 30 years of her career as a Medical Tech in the blood lab at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. Her passion for animals was evident to all who knew her—she adored her kitties, but penguins and wolves held a special place in her heart. Tricia found joy in beautiful flowers, just no mums! Her love for music was clear, favoring Pink Floyd, leaving the Beatles to her brother and anything with twang off her playlist – except “Country Roads” she sang every word!
An avid reader, Tricia had a tradition of gifting at least one book for every birthday, expressing her love through thoughtful presents. She was a source of endless movie recommendations and could belly laugh at the same scene time and again, as if seeing it for the first time. Her talent in the kitchen was legendary—she delighted in cooking and baking for her family, even hunting down impossible recipes to accommodate their “keto” adventures. Her chocolate daisy cookies at Christmas will remain a cherished memory.
We send her to heaven with her signature “pocket & pillow kisses & love forever & always.” She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son Jason D. Mincolla (Karen) of Hebron, KY; daughter-in-law Michael Mincolla of Broken Arrow, OK; and three fiercely loved grandchildren: Kaia, AddisonMarie, and Kain Mincolla. She is also survived by her siblings Stephen Jahns (Nina), Mary Thompson (Trent), Terri Redline (Hal), and Barbara Milligan; her nieces Carol Workman (Jess), Christine Jahns, LeighAnn Dees (Paul), Schelby Sutphin (Chandler); and one great nephew, Parker and two great-nieces, Annabelle and Joanna. Tricia was preceded in death by her parents, her son Marc S. Mincolla, and her nephew Cole A. Thompson.
A private celebration of life will be held in her favorite place, surrounded by loved ones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tulsa Zoo.
