Patricia Ann Padek's Obituary
Pat Padek, 86, passed away peacefully August 22, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born October 23, 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Bernice Otillia and Clarence John “Jack” DaVeau. Pat was
5 when her father died, and 13 when her mother passed away suddenly. An only child, she moved to Wisconsin to live with an aunt and uncle where she met her soulmate, Allen Padek, in junior high
school. As they say, the rest is history. Al was immediately smitten and soon won over the sweet, friendly girl who eventually was voted Washington High School’s Prom Queen their senior year. Pat and Al
married in 1957 and were married 51 years at the time of Al’s death in 2008. They had 2 children, Scott and Tracy, and never missed an activity, event, or meeting that involved their children. Pat loved unconditionally and spent her life making everyone else feel loved and happy. The Padek home was small, but always filled with fun, laughter and snacks. Everyone was welcome, including pets. The home was a haven for dogs, puppies and eventually cats, as well. However, nothing was as wonderful to her as her two children – until she had grandchildren. Having lost her parents so young and having no siblings, Pat was especially thrilled to have the extended family she felt she had missed out on as a child. Her granddaughters, Perri,
Peyton and Quinn were the lights of her life and the sources of her laughs and smiles in her later years. She is the epitome of “a life well lived”. Pat walked the walk and talked the talk. To say she will be
deeply missed is an understatement. Pat is survived by her son: Scott Padek of Jenks, Oklahoma; daughter: Tracy Padek Roberson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; granddaughters: Perri DaVeau Roberson of Marina del Rey, California, Peyton Nichols Neighbors and husband Zach of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Quinn Padek Roberson of Santa Monica, California. Pat is preceded in death by her parents: Jack and
Bea DaVeau; and her husband: Allen Padek.
Family will greet friends at visitation from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:30 PM, Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow.
