Patricia Ann "Patti" Jones' Obituary
Jones, Patricia Ann “Patti”, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Patti was born on March 18, 1933, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, the only child of Bruce A. and Anna M. (Pearson) Robison. She graduated high school at Enid, Oklahoma, and attended Tulsa Community College, and Oklahoma University studying advanced professional writing. Patti retired from Nalco Chemical Company on August 1, 1989 to pursue her love of reading and writing as a full time career. Her writing appeared in various publications locally, regionally and nationally. She was a book reviewer for the Sunday Tulsa World newspaper from 1991 to 2008. She also reviewed for BusinessKnowHow.com (Critics Corner) and taught writing courses on line. Patti also loved theatre and as a young woman was in Tulsa Little Theater’s production of “Abe Lincoln In Illinois,” and performed in their production of “The Women.” Her love of history and genealogy connected her to family members whom she had never known in her earlier life. She loved getting to know her extended family and was finally able to meet some of them in person prior to her passing. Patti was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she participated in the Plus 55 group, and served as a Lector and Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Patti was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lahman Jones; mother, Anna Robison; father, Bruce Robison; and step-daughters, Cherry Lynn Jones and Jennifer Lee Sullivan. She is survived by her sons: Michael Eubanks and wife Becky of Tulsa, and Christopher Jones and wife Mary of Bartlesville, OK; daughters: Cindy Dale of Dallas, TX, Janis Eubanks of Tulsa, and Karen McNeil of Tulsa; stepson: Stanley Jones and wife Tammy of Tulsa; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Hyla Hart of Wichita, KS; best friend and sister she never had, Nelda Chapman; and a number of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. The family will be receiving friends at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Rosary services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Patti’s name to Tulsa Catholic Charities, and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
