Patsy Ann Tjalsma's Obituary
Patsy Ann Tjalsma born April 23, 1940 in Waxahachie, Texas passed away March 4, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Patsy was the 7th out of 8 children born to Claude and Orbie Hightower. Patsy graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa. After graduation she joined the Navy and would later move to Colorado. Patsy graduated from college and became an LPN. She moved back to Oklahoma and would later marry R.C. Tjalsma. The two were happily married for 25 years. Patsy was passionate about her career as an LPN. She worked for several years at many of the Tulsa area hospitals. When Patsy wasn’t working she loved cooking, oil painting, reading and gardening. She and R.C. loved traveling and even had the opportunity to travel to Belgium, England and Holland. Patsy will be remembered for her loving personality and her deep sense of Spirituality. Patsy is survived by her spouse R.C. Tjalsma; son Mickey Joe McCoy II; daughter Kathy Lyn and her husband Brian Scully; son Robert Dell McCoy; son Matthew Shawn McCoy; grandchildren; Shaela McCoy, Gatlin McCoy, Gauge McCoy, Mickey Joe McCoy III, Nicholas Ryan McCoy; Austin Poindexter, Jennifer McCoy, Jessica Scully, Brian Scully, Carson Scully and several great-grandchildren. Patsy is also survived by her brother Claude “Junior” Hightower.
