Patty Volentine's Obituary
Patty Jane Volentine, 93, of Tulsa passed away June 24, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born January 25, 1927, in Orlando, Oklahoma to Charles Martin Sr and Cherokee “Cherrie” Martha Scovil.
She graduated from Phillips University in Enid, OK. On June 7, 1950 she married Raymond Carlton Volentine, Sr, and they started their own business in the early 1950s that they worked together for over forty years.
She was a founding member of Cedar Ridge Christian Church and was heavily involved in missions, the nursery, and many other areas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards, riding on the boat, telling jokes, and traveling, especially to her cabin in Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Charles Scovil; sister, Betty Bates; and husband, Raymond Volentine, Sr.
Patty is survived by her sons, Ray Jr and David Volentine; daughter, Cherrie Stunkard; seven grandchildren, Jennie, Melissa, Manda, Mark, Jason, Kandra, and Lance; and eight great-grandchildren, Alexander, Mackenzie, Inara, Wesley, Emmet, Hazel, Lucky, and Scarlet.
Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Monday, June 29 from 3 pm - 6 pm.
A funeral service to celebrate Patty’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Broken Arrow, OK, with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Hope Center of Tulsa.
