Paul Gilbert Appelman, Jr., 75 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Claremore, Oklahoma with his family by his side. He was born November 2, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to his parents, Paul Gilbert Appelman, Sr. and Gladys Marie Lane Appelman. Paul married the love of his life, Toni Appelman on November 22, 1980 and they have shared in over 38 years together.Paul worked for American Airlines for over 38 years as a structure mechanic. Paul enjoyed playing golf, was a huge ice hockey fan and really enjoyed attending the Tulsa Oilers games. He loved to fish and would often take his son, Paul III during his younger years. He enjoyed bowling and even bowled on a league. He would often attend his grandkids sporting events rooting them on as a proud grandfather would. He would coach his son’s baseball team and daughter’s softball team and was so very proud of both of them. He also enjoyed stock car racing where he had his own car, the “Blue Goose” #11.Paul is survived by his loving wife, Toni Appelman of the home; one son, Paul Gilbert Appelman, III and wife Malinda of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter, Angela Van Landingham of New Haven, Mississippi; grandchildren, Ashlee Appelman, Spencer Stauffer, Austin Stauffer, Heather Mann, Amber Mann, Ronald Van Landingham and Donald Van Landingham; one great-grandson, Jaxton Tomlin; and brothers, Gary Appelman and Robin Appelman of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Gilbert Appelman, Sr. and Gladys Marie Appelman; daughter, Christie Appelman and one brother, David Appelman.A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Lacey officiating and military honors by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
