Paul Parker's Obituary
Paul Parker, 46, of Broken Arrow, OK passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, surrounded by his family. Paul was born on February 15, 1976, in Tulsa, OK to Harry Parker and Cheryl (Sanders) Parker. A graduate of Edison High School, Paul continued his higher education at Tulsa Community College and Northeastern State University. Paul spent most of his time in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, except for 4 years in Dallas, TX. Paul always had an interest in computers. He spent all his adult life working in IT. He was employed by Benefit focus based out of South Carolina as a Help Desk Specialist II. He loved his relationship with his coworkers. Paul was hoping to finish his career with a Benefit focus. He felt he had finally met his match in the workplace. Paul never met a stranger. No matter where Paul was or how long he had been there he made new friends. He made many lasting connections throughout his life. Paul met the love of his life, Vivian, in 1997 while working at Mondo’s restaurant in Tulsa. He worked as a chef, and she was a waitress. Friends for a year, their relationship blossomed leading to their marriage on April 27, 2006. Paul and his son, Eli, shared an incredible bond. Eli inherited Paul’s witty, sarcastic sense of humor and love of gaming and Marvel movies. Paul had many interests. He was passionate about gaming and computers. He wanted to upgrade his computer every year. He loved animals, especially his cats Ivy, Orangie, and Raven. He enjoyed reading sci-fi and medieval books. He enjoyed writing and wrote many romantic letters to his wife. Also, Paul loved watching Marvel movies, sci-fi movies, and medieval movies with his wife and son. He was involved in Melee and had a huge group of friends that he battled with in role-play games. Paul always enjoyed meals with family and friends. He was a big fan of coffee, meat, potatoes, and beans. Paul was preceded in death by; Grandfather Leonard Parker, Grandmother Louise Parker, Uncle George Parker, Uncle Doyle Sanders, Grandpa Eugene Sanders, Mother Cheryl (Sanders) Parker, Father-in-law John Ott, Father Harry Parker, Grandmother Aletha Sanders.
Paul is survived by his wife Vivian Parker, son Eli, Aunt MaryAnn Sanders, brother Brian Parker and his wife Kristia, niece CJ, nephew Clay, Aunt Linda Parker, mother-in-law Sharon Couchman, sister-in-law Ranae Ott, brother-in-law Kevin Ott and wife Charity, nephew Pacey, niece Ashlan, brother-in-law Christopher Choate, stepmother Linda Parker, stepsisters Natalie and Katie and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 3-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Broken Arrow, OK. Immediately following will be a light luncheon, so people will have the opportunity to share their memories about Paul with everyone.
