Paul Edward Pilkerton's Obituary
Paul 'Paulie' Edward Pilkerton Paul 'Paulie' Edward Pilkerton was born in Bethesda, Maryland on December 23, 1954 to Kay and Frank Pilkerton. He passed in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 14, 2011 to soar with the eagles he loved so much. Paul was raised in Tulsa and joined the Army when he was 18. After leaving the military he worked in maintenance mostly. However his love was working in security, which he did for 25 years in Tulsa. While working at the Sunset Grill he was recognized in the newspaper as the 'Best Bouncer in Tulsa'. He worked security for the Brady Theater and Tulsa Convention center where he got to meet, mingle, and party with many famous people. During which time he obtained a large collection of autographed t-shirts and memorabilia. He was also proud and honored that he was chosen to be Ace Frehley's bodyguard when Ace's band Frehley's Comet went on tour. Loved by many Paul was a fierce friend and everyone knew that he always had their back when the chips were down. He was a friend, a son, a brother, a father, and for 8 days a grandfather. Paul was one of the strongest men you could know, a man's man, but he had the heart of a teddy bear. He was a fighter and always took life by the horns, never fearing to look the bull directly in the eyes. For Paul life was not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'What a ride!!!'. Paul is survived by his mother Kay Pilkerton, daughter Shannon Pilkerton, granddaughter Zoa Fritschie, sister Nora Hale and family, blood brother Danny Freyer and family, and girlfriend Rayona Styve. Along with countless many friends...
