Paul Stubbs' Obituary
Paul Stubbs was born in Westminster, Ohio on April 19, 1934 to Russell and Marjorie (Hefner) Stubbs. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews who mostly resided in the Ohio region. He attended high school in Harrod, Ohio and graduated from Taylor University in Indiana. There he met and was married to Ann (Donker) and upon graduation they went immediately to South Korea where they labored in mission work for twenty years. He received his Master of Theology at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri after which he served as Mission Coordinator of Central and South America and the Caribbean for Compassion International of Colorado Springs. During that time, he traveled extensively, establishing schools and feeding programs for underprivileged children. He was awarded a Doctorate of Humanities from the University of Guatemala during that time.During Paul and Ann’s time in Korea a daughter, Stephanie was born and she and her “four legged” children have brought much joy and happy memories to our lives. After moving to Tulsa sixteen years ago, Paul has continued ministry in pastoring to shut-ins, holding services in nursing homes, and ministering in services and bible studies at John 3:16 Mission. Paul enjoyed his life of service and met all as friends and someone with whom to share. In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts to be sent to John 3:16 Mission in Paul’s name, P.O. Box 1477, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. They would also request your presence, if possible, at a memorial service at Regency Park Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00p.m.
