Paul Wayne Weinschenk's Obituary
Paul Weinschenk, known to many as Hessian Paul or Rusty Chain, entered life on August 30, 1946, in Newark, New Jersey and departed life on March 27, 2016, at his home in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Paul is survived by Anna “Annie” Weinschenk of the home, his wife of nearly 47 years. He is also survived by his daughter Anna Marie Weinschenk Miller & her husband Ronnie Miller of Catoosa, Oklahoma, his brother Carl Weinschenk of Monroe, New Jersey and his four-legged daughter Helga and all his fur grandkids. Paul leaves behind many friends & club brothers throughout Oklahoma & California.After high school graduation Paul joined the U.S. Navy where he later became a Navy Seal of Seal team 2 and served two tours in Vietnam. He helped start the volunteer fire department at Oak Grove community in rural Catoosa and was very dedicated to them. He also spent the past 46 years fighting for motorcyclists’ rights; in the 80’s & 90’s he worked closely with the original Tulsa ABATE. He was a long time member of the Hessians M/C which led him to the 14 year position as treasurer for the Oklahoma Confederation of Clubs. Paul was very well respected because you always knew exactly where you stood with him. He will be missed by many.Services for Paul will take place on Saturday, April 9th. The services will start with a ‘Last Ride’ that will meet at Rogers Point Park on Hwy 66 & the Verdigris River in Catoosa, Oklahoma, with kick-stands up at 4:00 riding to God’s Shining Light Church (9897 E 11th St, Tulsa, OK 74128) where a Celebration of Life will take place at 5:00.In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made in the memory of Paul Weinschenk to your choice of the following: Oak Grove Fire Department (PO Box 430, Catoosa, OK 74015), CancerSucks.com or God’s Shining Light Church (www.pasterdixie.com).
