Obituary for Paul Michael “Myke” WilliamsApril 30th, 1953 – April 12th, 2019Myke was born in Oklahoma City, the second of four children of Paul Henry and Vivian Louise Williams. He attended Midwest City High School and married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Kay Hampton, on May 19, 1972.Shortly after, Myke joined the Army, serving from 1972-1975. He took basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and was station at Fort Sill, OK. During this time, Myke and Kay welcomed their first son, Paul Wade Williams.Myke and his family moved to Tulsa in 1976 for him to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics. After graduation, Myke workedfor Chandler Engineering, which was later acquired by AMETEC. As an Assembly Technician and Supervisor, he built cement testing equipment for the oil and gas industry. After the birth of their second son, Kelly Shane Williams, the family settled in Owasso, OK. Myke (or Paul, as his coworkers called him) retiredin 2015 after 35 years of service. Myke enjoyed many activities. He volunteered as assistant coach for his boys’ little league soccer and football teams. He lovedshooting guns with his boys, riding his Harley, fishing and boating at the lake with family and friends, and more recently, camping. Myke’s favorite activity was spending time with his seven grandchildren.Myke was a member of the Broken Arrow Elks Lodge for several years, he was a longtime member of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club and a founding member of the Drifters Motorcycle Club, he was an avid member of the NRA, and an active member of Tulsa Red Castle Gun Club.Myke was preceded in death by his mother and father, his uncle Leon Vaughn, his brother Danny Williams, and his brother-in-law Michael Alderman. Myke is survived by his wife, Kay of Owasso, their sons, Wade and his wife Amanda of West Tulsa, Kelly and his wife Tina of Broken Arrow, his sister Vicki Richardson and her husband David, and their sons James and Shawn, his brother J.R. Williams and his wife Rosa, and their sons Bryan and Chris, his brother-in-law Michael Hampton, and his daughters Chelsea Schwan and Morgan Dunlap, his sister-in-law Lori Alderman and her daughter Hannah, his grandchildren Tristen, Kaitlyn, Addison, Skylar, Locklan, Piper, and Coraligh, and numerous great nephews and nieces.In lieu of a funeral service, the family is having a “Celebration of Life” on April 27th at Red Castle Shooting Club, Zink Ranch Road, Skiatook, OK from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Myke’s name.
