Pauline Mary Randlett's Obituary
Pauline Mary “Betty” Randlett passed away Thursday, September 1, 2015 at the age of 94. She was born in Dublin, Ireland on August 14, 1921. Her daughter, Diane, was by her side during which time she received the “last rights” from the priest. Shortly after final rights were given she passed away while all her other children were in route to be with her. She was the daughter of John Patrick and Annie Larkin Newman. She came to the United States at a young age with her sisters and parents. She attended schools in Boston, Massachusetts and later moved to Houston, Texas were she attended San Jacinto High School. She met and later married Aviation Cadet Harding Randlett on January 2, 1942. In addition to her Husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Carmel Griffith of Jersey City, Texas. She is survived by sisters, Kathleen Seeley and Joan Collins; two sons, John Randlett and wife, Joan, Kevin Randlett and wife, Carol; three daughters, Geraldine Dipprey and husband, Jim, Diane Cathcart and husband, Roger and Patricia Jaenecke. There are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren one great great grandchild. Besides her love for children, she had a great love for animals and donated to several animal organizations. She had a strong admiration for the military and was extremely proud of Harding’s service during his lifetime. Pauline had the ability to see something beautiful wherever she looked. One of the highlights of her life was returning to Ireland and visiting relatives that still reside there. She never stopped talking about her love for Ireland. A Memorial Service was held at the Cathcart Ranch in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Don Cason officiating. An Irish wake will be held in Houston, Texas on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
