Paulo Jorge Rego Moura's Obituary
Paulo Moura, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 30, 2023. He was 56 years old. Paulo was born on September 14, 1966, in the Azores, Portugal, to his parents Manuel and Celeste Moura. He was the youngest of five brothers but a beloved big brother to his sister. Paulo was a hardworking and dedicated person from a young age. He immigrated to the United States in search of better opportunities and settled in San Diego, California where he met the love of his life, Mary Anne.
Paulo and Mary Anne were best friends for almost 35 years and had three children together. Paulo was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and instilled in his children the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness. His children, Jason, Justin, and Ryan were his pride and joy and he was immensely proud of the adults they had become. Paulo dearly loved his three lovely daughter-n-laws and was a fond grandfather to his six grandchildren. Paulo was baptized as a baby in Santa Maria, Portugal, and reaffirmed as an adult together with his wife.
Paulo was a man of many interests and talents. He loved spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and watching nature shows. He loved sitting in nature and enjoyed hiking, camping, and fishing. He was also an avid soccer fan and loved watching games with his family and friends. Paulo was a kind, generous, and humble person who touched the lives of everyone he met.
He lit up the room when he walked in and had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a funny story.
Paulo's passing has left avoid in the lives of his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Paulo is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; his children, Jason (Tabitha) Moura, Justin (Angelyn) Moura, Ryan Moura (Livia Jones-Bennet); six grandchildren, Gemma, Reia, Aria, Zoe, Julian, and baby Ivan, his father Manuel Moura, his stepmother Maria Moura, his brothers and sisters; Joe Moura, Eddie (Rosemarie) Moura, Edgar (Armanda) Moura, Gualter (Stephanie) Moura and his sister Elsa (David) Ruble, 14 nephews, 8 nieces, plus numerous aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Celeste Rego Moura and sister-n-law, Noemia Moura.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
