Peggy Sue Jones' Obituary
Peggy Sue Jones, 83 of Claremore, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in St John’s Tulsa hospital. She was born December 10, 1936 in Waurika, Oklahoma to her parents, Arley Dee Haga and Beryl Lucille Harrison Haga.
Peggy graduated from Eureka High School, Eureka, Kansas in 1954. She was an accountant and retired three times. First from Texaco, then QuikTrip and finally from Eastland Assembly of God where she worked part time in the office until late last year.
If you knew her you’ve undoubtedly received one of her special hugs. She loved everyone and always saw the best in people. She would open her home to anyone who needed a place to stay. She put her life on hold more than once to take care of family members in need.
She loved having parties at her home, which she considered a little slice of heaven on earth, especially on the 4th of July.
She had one biological child but she was a mother figure to many. She loved her family with all her heart and built friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Peggy loved the Lord and served Him well. Her greatest desire was that everyone she loved would accept Him as Savior and join her in heaven one day.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Stacy Turnipseed and husband Lonnie of Mannford, Oklahoma; step-son, Mark Jones and wife Jackie and family of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister, Carla Randall and husband Stan of Wellington, Kansas; brother, Whitey Haga of Eureka, Kansas; granddaughter, Laura Hendrix and husband Craig of Mannford, Oklahoma; grandson, Matthew Turnipseed of Norman, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Toby Hendrix and Leighanna Hendrix of Mannford, Oklahoma; her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arley Dee Haga and Beryl Lucille Haga; four siblings, Ann Jenson, Sonny Haga, Judy McCall and Glenda Town.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Eastland Assembly of God in Tulsa, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "Bring Them In Ministries" at Eastland Assembly of God Church, 12310 E 21st St, Tulsa, OK 74129 or to "His Heart" at Crosspoint Church, 4600 S 129th W Ave, Sand Springs, OK 74063
