Peggy Louise Owen, 95, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on June 18, 2023. She was born on December 18, 1927. She was known for her vibrant personality, artistic talent, and selfless dedication to various causes. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her creative spirit blossomed through her exquisite artwork, and she found joy in expressing herself through various mediums. Peggy's talent truly shone in her painted pumpkins, which became iconic symbols of the fall season in her community. The beauty she brought to each pumpkin was a testament to her artistic prowess and her ability to capture the essence of the world around her.
Beyond her artistic endeavors, Peggy was a proud member of the Eastern Star, an organization that supported and uplifted women. She cherished the bonds she formed within the sisterhood and actively contributed to the betterment of her community through their initiatives. Peggy's commitment to her Eastern Star family was unwavering, and she served as an inspiration to many.
Peggy's compassionate nature extended beyond her artistic pursuits and affiliations. She is survived by her children Linda Lane; and Mark Owen and husband David Privett; her grandchildren Thomas Russell Nightingale USAF TSGT Ret. and wife Desiree; Mary Lane and Thomas Anson; and Jessica Baker, and husband Evan; great grandchildren Kyleigh Nightingale; Brooklyn Anson; Emma McDonald; Brynlee Baker; Tatum Baker; Hudson Baker; and dear friend Mary Stover.
She is reunited with her husband of 65 years Thomas Owen.
