Peggy Jo Prado's Obituary
Peggy Jo O’Keefe Prado, 68, of Jenks. OK, died on June 1, 2017. Peggy was born to Daniel L. O’Keefe and Dorothy Lee Johnson in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 7, 1948. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, uncles, cousins and her beloved Grandmother, Serena Joe Stewart. Peggy met her husband, Richard at Muskogee Central High School. They married a year later, after graduation on June 15, 1967. This love produced two children. During her working career, she was an Administrative Assistant at various companies in Enid, Oklahoma and the Tulsa area for over 20 years. She also worked for the Tulsa County Election Board and Precincts around Tulsa County for the last 12 years. As a child of God, she contributed her time to serve in the Methodist Churches of Broken Arrow and Sapulpa. She enjoyed working with youth the most, earning the name “Nana Peggy.” Peggy is survived by Richard, her husband of nearly fifty years. The loves of her life, son Timothy Allen Prado and wife Jackie, daughter Deborah Suzanne McCumber and husband Steven, as well as seven grandchildren who fondly call her “Nana.” Tyler, Kaleb, Tristen and Jaxom Prado: Adam and Andrew Sylvester and Emilee McCumber. Brother Mike O’Keefe of Muskogee, Sisters Patsy Scott of Muskogee and Deneyce Cole of Magnolia, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Stephens United Methodist Church Youth Ministry of Broken Arrow, Meals on Wheels or any local ASPCA.Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 11th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, June 12th, Saint Stephen’s United Methodist Church with committal service to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
