PeiJen Chou's Obituary
Pei-Jen Chou 周沛仁Pei-Jen Chou was born July 18, 1960 to Kung Yueh Chou and Kuei Hua Lin in Taiwan, Republic of China. The eldest of seven, she excelled in the arts and played violin competitively at the national level. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Literature from Tamkang University in Taiwan. There she met her husband, Chih-Chin Pan, in the college choir. They married in 1986 and raised two daughters, Hsin-Yi and Hsin-Roe. In 1995, the family moved to Lawrence, Kansas. She and her husband were baptized at Lawrence Chinese Evangelical Church in 1997. In 2006, the Pans made Tulsa their home and joined Tulsa Chinese Christian Church. Pei-Jen had a heart for service and education. Principal of the Tulsa Chinese School for three years, she oversaw its expansion to over one hundred students. She later taught Chinese for seven years at Bishop Kelley High School. Her joy was found in serving God with the college student fellowship, praising team, and VBS. Pei-Jen went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 23, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father, and survived by her loving husband, two daughters, mother, and six siblings. While we will no longer hear her beautiful laugh and vibrant voice, we know she is praising in eternity in His arms.Viewing will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Tulsa Chinese Christian Center Church, 1430 S 131st E Ave, Tulsa, OK. 74108.
